Wedding crasher! Bridesmaid gives birth on wedding day

Now THAT'S a plus one!

Forget Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, the world has a brand new wedding crasher!

Baby Hunter wasn’t due for another five weeks or so, but that didn’t stop him from making a grand entrance on a very special day.

Little Hunter was born on the day when his mum, Melissa White, 24, was due to stand as a bridesmaid at the wedding of her best friend, Bernadette Turner, also 24.

But just as Bernadette was getting ready to spend her last night as a single woman, she got a call from her best friend to inform her that she’d gone into labour and that she was going to miss her wedding.

One hour after the call, Melissa gave birth to tiny Hunter Athol Kennith Anderson, who weighed in at 3.5 kilos, at St. Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital in Queensland.

Baby Hunter.

But even though Kate Middleton might have gotten a blow-out and a fancy dress on just hours after giving birth, thankfully the bride didn’t expect the same of Melissa.

The bridesmaid was given a pass for the ceremony, and got to spend the day in bed with her new baby.

The bride did, however, drop by to see her friend and even gave her the wedding bouquet.

Speaking on her friend’s surprise arrival, bride Bernadette revealed that it was a day full of emotions.

“As soon as we walked in there’s was a lot of emotions that day, everything ranging from her dress being altered, then not being not worn at all,” Bernadette told The Daily Mail.

“It was super exciting…it was quite a day we share.”

Hunter, who was born five weeks prematurely, will stay in the hospital with mum for another week before going home.
