Four men are accused of raping a little girl in Utah while her mother smoked methamphetamine in the garage with a fellow ex-con, FOX13 reported.
Court documents state the assault occurred March 27 at a home in rural Uintah County, which borders Colorado, reports ABC 7.
Authorities allege the girl was asleep on a lounge while her mother took drugs with someone she met while incarcerated nearby.
The four men, who were believed to be staying in the house, took the girl into a bedroom and took turns raping her.
One man reportedly threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone about what had happened.
The girl later told her mother about the alleged incident and police found bloodstained bedding and other evidence that supported the girl’s report.
The girl has been taken into state custody to make sure she “is taken care of,” Uintah County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Brian Fletcher told FOX13.
“My granddaughter doesn’t deserve to go through this,” the girl’s grandmother said. “I’m very, very disgusted with people like that.”
