Some more seriously spooky footage has turned up on the internet and this time it is – wait for it – a chair, moving, on its own! Which could only mean one thing, right? GHOST!
Paranormal investigators – which is really just a fancy name for budding Ghostbusters – have managed to find “compelling evidence” of ghostly spirits at a home in Rowlands Gill in the UK.
Ghost gumshoe Terry Johnson and his team set up a camera in a home which residents feared haunted and within an hour his specialist equipment recorded footage of a chair moving what it appears to be on its own.
The 54-year-old poltergeist enthusiast told the Newcastle Chronicle he was shocked by what he saw.
"We were just gobsmacked when we saw it,” Johnson said.
The supernatural buffs reportedly sat in the dark and asked the spooky spirits to reveal themselves at about 10.20pm. Shortly after the chair in the centre of the room (pictured above) moved about half a metre and turned.
"We have never had anything like that before and we haven't stopped talking about it since.
"It’s the most compelling evidence we have got up to now on an investigation."
The homeowner – who elected to remain anonymous – added: “It was absolutely amazing.”
"I knew there was something not right and now he's just proved it."
Terry, who lives in North Kenton and works as a full-time carer, is also the founder the Gateshead Paranormal Society – an organisation he set up last year.
The homeowner says the footage captured by Terry and his crew hasn’t turned them off living there.
"This has just confirmed what I thought all along,” the resident said.
"But it seems it's a friendly ghost.
Adding: "I have always said I would keep an open mind until I saw it for myself and now I have."
