Police are urging the public to take a look at the mug shots of Australia’s most wanted men in the hopes that someone will recognise them and turn them in.
Crime Stoppers has this week launched Operation Roam - Fugitive Hunt which will run for two weeks from Monday in a bid to track down and catch men wanted for various crimes including drug trafficking, assault, and conspiracy to murder and child sex offences.
The persons of interest are from Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, but Crime Stoppers said many of them were likely to now be on the run in other states.
"We need your help," Crime Stoppers' Bryan Roach said.
"These criminals are hiding in our communities, interstate and next door, perhaps known to family members and colleagues."
But anyone who sees any of these men is warned not to approach them but instead call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at crimestoppers.com.au.
Rewards of up to $1,000 are being offered for anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest.
