A woman has been charged with murder after the body of a two-year-girl was found in a south- western Sydney house.

A woman has been charged with murder after the body of a two-year-girl was found in a south- western Sydney house.

According to police emergency services were called to a home on Merino Street in Miller just after noon on Tuesday after concerns were raised for the occupants by a family friend.

On arrival, officers located the body of a two-year old girl inside the house.

Last night detectives from Green Valley Local Area Command attended a medical facility in the Blue Mountains and spoke with a 36-year-old woman.

She was arrested and taken to Katoomba Police station and has been charged with murder.

The woman was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court today
