Hotel slammed for sickening stunt

Tourists have threatened to boycott a Cyprus resort after staff staged a fake gun attack.

Tourists were terrified after entertainment staff at a resort in Cyprus staged a gun attack.

According to The Sun, employees burst into a restaurant wearing dark clothes and firing fake guns.

They were trying to promote a new casino at the First Choice Holiday Village Aliathon in Paphos, Cyprus, by appearing as “gangsters”.

This came just two days after the Istanbul airport terror attack where 45 people died, so naturally, emotions were running high.

People were furious at the tactless stunt and threatened to boycott the resort.

Bernard Heald, a 66-year-old English man, said: “It was in real bad taste after the events at Ataturk airport and shootings at other resorts … Totally disgusted, could have given someone a heart attack.”

Anne Mullen said: “It was the hotel staff trying to promote the casino night.”

“They came out of the kitchen area firing toy cap guns. Everyone in the restaurant was shocked and all saying do they not read the news?”

Seems they could really use a publicity team with integrity and compassion.
