Toddler with Down Syndrome completes alphabet milestone

John David has taken the internet by storm

A grandmother in the US has captured the moment her two-year-old grandson, who has Down Syndrome, excitedly recited the alphabet.

Since Pam Gables shared the video of John David on Facebook it has had more than 13 million views.

John David’s parents Hannah and Cameron Marlin have been taking the toddler to early intervention speech programs since he was six months old.

“People have a perception of Down syndrome, that it’s something that will hold them back. He has met such a milestone and it’s just amazing to watch.” Mrs Gables Sapp told ABC News.

“There’s so much more that we don’t know that he can do… he has been such a joy to our lives.”
