In the lead up to ANZAC day, a woman has been accused of stealing a box of ANZAC badges and money from an RSL club in Caufield, Victoria.

CCTV footage (above) shows the woman is walking into the RSL, picking up the box of ANZAC badges (sold for donations) and putting it underneath a jacket draped across her arm. She then proceeds to leave.

Caulfield RSL, General Manager Peter Frost told The Weekly he was shocked and disappointed.

“It’s quite disheartening. We have had a lot of volunteers in here preparing for ANZAC Day. You wouldn’t think you’d have to keep a box of badges under lock and key,” he said.

The woman took the box of ANZAC badges (and money) from the concierge desk of the RSL on St Georges Road, Elsternwick.

This video was released by Mr Frost in a bid to track down the offender.

In a press release sent to The Weekly by the RSL, Mr Frost said “this is a very low act.”

Anyone with information should contact the RSL directly.
