Product recall for faulty prams

Infants could accidentally fall out of these Mamas & Papas strollers due to a latch defect.

The Mamas & Papas Amadillo Flip and Amadillo Flip XT strollers are being recalled.

The two models, available in Australia online and used for children from newborn to four years of age, have been recalled because of a latch defect that could potentially cause infants to fall out of the strollers. Product Safety Australia, which has issued the recall, says no injuries have been recorded to date but there is the potential.

“Under certain conditions, when in the parent facing position, a latch may slip and cause the seatback to tip backwards. The seatback tip cannot occur when the infant is in the forward facing position or where a bassinet attachment is used,” it says

Owners of the Armadillo Flip and Flip XT strollers will be contacted by letter or telephone to arrange a repair of the stroller.

Until your stroller has been fixed, PSA advises not use it on rough terrain in the parent-facing position and always ensure the infant is securely strapped in using the safety harness.
