You know how your Dad used to say he read Playboy for the articles? He now has no choice, because the nudes are finished.

The New York Times reports on Hugh Hefner’s decision to ban the fully-nude model from the magazine when it re-launches in March, apparently with Ellen de Generes on the cover.

“The 62-year-old magazine is undergoing a major revamp and will dispense with nude photos when it re-launches in March,” the New York Times says.

Playboy CEO Scott Flanders said nudes were ‘passe’ in the internet age.

The magazine will still feature ‘racy’ photos of women, but there will be more serious journalism and interviews.

The Playboy company makes most of its money from licensing its brand.
