Former NSW premier Neville Wran was formally farewelled today at a state funeral in Sydney's Town Hall.

Former prime ministers Bob Hawke and Paul Keating led the mourners including federal opposition leader Bill Shorten, current NSW Premier Mike Baird and former premiers Bob Carr, Barry O’Farrell, Nick Greiner, Barry Unsworth, Nathan Rees, Morris Iemma and Kristina Keneally.

Westfield billionaire Frank Lowy, Ros Packer, Michael Kirby, Wran’s widow Jill and his three children also attended.

The late Labor politician – who led NSW from May 1976 to July 1986 – died on April 20 aged 87.
