BREAKING: Massive fire breaks out at Sydney Olympic Park

12 emergency service crews and 70 firefighters are battling to control the blaze at the site of the 2000 Olympics.

A huge fire has broken out at Sydney Olympic Park, with masses of dark smoke billowing from the blaze.

12 emergency service crews are currently at the site of the 2000 Olympics, including around 70 NSW Fire & Rescue firefighters at the scene. The blaze, which broke out at the Monster Skate Park, is said to be contained.

The fire is occurring right next to ANZ Stadium, which is expected to host large crowds for the NRL tonight.

It’s not yet known if anyone is trapped inside the building but a NSW Ambulance spokesman told news.com.au that paramedics were treating someone with smoke inhalation.

Some witnesses are reporting hearing a bang before the building went up in flames.

More as we get it.
