Man dies in Disneyland haunted house

Workers were horrified to discover the dead body when opening the haunted house for the day.

The body of a 45-year-old man was discovered in the Phantom Manor haunted house ride at Paris Disneyland on Saturday.

Officials confirmed the man was an employee of the theme park. The cause of death remains unknown but it is believed to be an accident.

“We are truly saddened to learn of the passing of one of our Cast Members, and our hearts go out to his family and friends during this very difficult time,” a statement said.

The Phantom Manor remains closed and police continue their investigations.

The 45-year-old is the second worker to die at Paris Disneyland. A 53-year-old cleaner lost his life in 2010 after he fell into the water while cleaning a ride.
