In news that makes us feel a bit queasy, Kyle Sandilands has admitted he earns a whopping salary during a grilling from Channel Nine presenter Ben Fordham.
The conversation took place on the shock jock’s own show with Fordham asking Sandilands live on air: “Kyle how much money do you earn?”
“Your listeners would love to know. All right, is it between $1 million and $2 million?” he continued to probe.
Kyle replied, “it’s way more than that” before eventually conceding he earns more than $3m per year.
To break that down, it equates to more than $60k per WEEK.
The average salary for Australians is $78k per year so that would mean Sandilands is being paid more per week for his morning show than some Australians earn for a full year’s work.
Kyle had previously said his co-host Jackie O had no idea what his salary was for their prime time program.
We’re going to go ahead and take a guess hers is not the same because the pay gap is alive and well… But hey, that’s just speculation…
