Jesinta Campbell takes action against The Daily Telegraph

“We are seeking legal advice on the disgusting article that was written.”

Television personality Jesinta Campbell has sought legal advice over an article in The Daily Telegraph on Saturday that advised her to put off her wedding to fiance, Swans star Buddy Franklin.

The article suggested that Buddy might be less attractive to Jesinta if he wasn’t earning $1 million a year playing for the Swans. It also suggested that his children might be born with mental problems, since he is currently dealing with depression.

Campbell’s agent Sharon Finnigan told The Australian: “We are seeking legal advice on the disgusting article that was written. I have no other words for it. It was so awful.”

Campbell said she was “appalled” by the article, telling The Weekly that the opinion piece wasn’t worth her time “but people who are suffering mental illness are”.

“If there is anyone out there who has or is currently suffering from mental illness I want to make something very clear to you. Your challenges do not define you and your suffering does not make you less appealing as a life partner,” she wrote.
