Weeks after the horror car accident that took the lives of her parents and sister, Home And Away actress Jessica Falkholt is still fighting for her life in hospital.

The 29-year-old remains in a critical condition in hospital after the Boxing Day car crash. She sustained severe head injuries and is in an induced coma, not knowing the heartbreaking fate of her family.

Her parents Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60, and sister Annabelle, 21, were laid to rest at St Marys Catholic Church in Concord yesterday with hundreds of friends and family paying their respects.

Anabelle was just 21 years old.

“Lars, Vivian and Annabelle will be deeply missed by Vivian’s brother Paul, his children along with many relatives and friends both near and far,” a notice for the service read, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Paul Ponticello, Vivian’s brother, gave a eulogy at the funeral. “Their lives ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense,” he said, reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.

“We take little comfort in knowing that they are together and always will be.”

Anabelle was alive following the two-car collision on the Princes Highway on the way home from the South Coast. She clung to life for three days until her injuries overcame her.

Older sister Jessica appeared on Home And Away as Hope Morrison in 2016, and will be appearing in the upcoming TV thriller, Bite Club.

The driver of the other vehicle, 50-year-old Craig Whitall was killed in the accident.
