Warriena Tagpuno Wright, 26, fell 14 floors from the balcony of Gable Tostee’s Surfers Paradise apartment in the early hours of last Friday morning.

The charging comes a day after Warriena’s sister Reza made a special trip to Australia from her home in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, to plead for help in bringing closure to mourning family.

The 28-year-old man was led by Queensland detectives to the Gold Coast watch house in hand cuffs earlier this morning.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Tostee and Warriena were seen drinking and laughing on the balcony on the night of her death. She reportedly met Tostee through a dating app called Tinder.

Mr Tostee, who has until now declined to make a statement to police about the incident, has denied via social media any involvement in Ms Wright’s death.
