Fireman plays Happy Feet to comfort car crash victim

A US firefighter at a car accident lay on the ground with an injured child to calm him with animated movie Happy Feet.

Car accidents are terrifying for everyone but they can be especially so for young children.

Thanks to the quick thinking of one D’Iberville firefighter he was able to calm an injured child immediately while the accident scene was secured and the medical team arrived.

Casey Lessard lay down on the ground with the child and played children’s animated movie, Happy Feet on his phone according to US newspaper The Sun Herald.

The D’Iberville fire fighters do everything in their power to quickly settle anguished children in traumatic situations, according to D’Iberville fire captain Darren Peterson.

“The kids … we do whatever we can to calm them down,” Peterson said. “The video calmed him down instantly.”

The dark-grey Lincoln SUV containing one adult and five children left the road and flipped several times ejecting its young occupants.
