Can you spot the panda?

Russian artist Ilja Klemencov has created an optical illusion that is sweeping the internet and sending people cross-eyed.

The picture appears to be only zig-zag lines but hiding amongst the black and white image is a giant panda.

The clever image, titled “They can disappear,” may be to support the conservation efforts of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), as giant panda’s dwindling numbers have them currently listed as endangered on the IUCN red list.

As with all optical illusions some people will easily see the panda, whilst others with drive themselves batty with the effort.

Those who find it difficult are advised to squint their eyes, or turn their computer screens on a 90 degree angle.
