Boy says he was fat-shamed by Santa

The boy claims Santa told him to 'Lay off the hamburgers and french fries’.

A boy in North Carolina has called out his local Santa for allegedly fat-shaming him while getting his Christmas picture done.

Anthony Mayse went to his local City Forest on Saturday with his mum and brother to enjoy some Christmas cheer that sadly ended in tears when the nine-year-old says he was teased by Santa about his weight.

Anthony had told this Saint Nick he wanted a drone and an iPod Touch for Christmas but what Santa said next upset the little guy.

“When he got done, he said, ‘Lay off the hamburgers and french fries’. And that really just disrespected me, and I felt awful,” he told WLOS-TV of his conversation with Santa.

“I went out and started crying, because I just felt so bad.”

Anthony’s mum, Ashley claims the man posing as Santa didn’t even seem too jolly about the gig.

“He acted like he didn’t want to be there to do the job,” Ashley added. “I’ve never seen anything like it … I was just mind-blown. I wished a million times that we never went.”

Of the punishment she wants doled out the mother-of-two said:

“I’m hoping he’s fired, because I don’t want any kid feeling like he [Anthony] did Saturday,”

Anthony has reportedly torn up the picture he got during the visit.
