A new mother from Toronto has attributed a lightning bolt birthmark on her baby’s head to Harry Potter.
Tweeting J.K. Rowling, Jo Mark said: “I read all the Harry Potter books while pregnant. This is my daughter Sofia with her #harrypottermark.”
Baby Sofia has a head of black hair, an adorable pout and a dark birthmark complete with a distinct lightning bolt shape.
Rowling was quick to reply, saying: “Well I’m not going to apologise because I think she looks beautiful.”
Following the exchange, Jo received numerous tweets from fellow Harry Potter fans congratulating her on the birth.
Quoting the wand maker Ollivander, one person tweeted: “She’s destined for great things.”
Another tweet read: “Yer a wizard, Sofia”
