Queensland amber alert: An urgent search is on for two-year-old boy taken from hospital

Police in Queensland have issued an amber alert for a two-year-old boy who was taken from a South Brisbane hospital at 8:10 pm on Thursday night.

The amber alert has been classified as urgent as the two-year-old requires immediate medical treatment and is noted to be at significant risk if not returned to the medical facility immediately, police have warned.

CCTV footage has documented the boy being carried out of the facility by a man in his 20s, driving a maroon 2005 Ford Falcon, registration number 450XQA and may be in the Redlands.

CCTV image shared by the Queensland Police Service shows the boy being carried into a car.

A man and woman were seen taking the boy from the medical facility and putting him into a car and driving him away before he was seen by doctors.

Police are urging anyone with information to call 131 564 or call 000 if there is a presence of life threatening.
