Florida pizza order for help

A quick-thinking woman in Florida used a pizza order to alert authorities she was being held hostage by her boyfriend.

Local police told media Cheryl Treadway and her three children were allegedly being held in their home by Ethan Nickerson who was armed with a large knife.

Cheryl was banned from using her, phone, but managed to convince Ethan to return it to her to order a pizza, police say.

She used a Pizza Hut app and along with her order of garlic bread and a pepperoni pizza added a desperate message to staff.

“Please help, get 911 to me,” she wrote in the comments section of her order.

The message was received by the staff at her local Pizza Hut in Avon Park who contacted authorities resulting in police officers storming the address immediately.

“Upon arrival at the home, deputies were greeted by [Treadway] carrying a small child in her arms,” police said in a statement.

It’s been reported the officers escorted Cheryl and the child away from the house and then one of the officers spoke with the boyfriend through a closed door.

“After about 20 minutes, Lieutenant Ludden was able to talk him into coming out peacefully. The other two children were then removed from the home, unharmed.”
