Frances Abbott has married her fiancé of three months, Sam Loch, on Valentine’s Day.

Taking to Instagram, the daughter of former Prime Minister Tony Abbott confirmed the happy news with a black-and-white picture of herself and her new-husband kissing in their wedding day finest.

The 26-year-old captioned the shot: “YOU. Happy Valentine’s Day @samloch Always and forever,” adding the hash-tags “#locheddown #youmaynowkissthebride #f**kyes.”

Sam, 34, also shared the news on social media, explaining that the “celebratory component” of their wedding has been scheduled for a couple of months down the track.

“The celebratory component isn’t for a couple of months, but we made it official in the eyes of the law today,” the bodybuilder wrote alongside a snap that proudly shows off their new rings, adding: “We’re the motherf*cking Mighty Morphin Power Rangers of love.”

Frances, a fitness model and personal trainer, opted for a strapless, white dress for the big day. She accented the simple, though classic look with a pair of low-heeled leopard sandals and gold hoop earrings.

The groom, too, kept things casual in a plain white shirt, no tie and dark trousers.

The couple made headlines in November when they became engaged just two weeks after having met.

In an Instagram post, Tony Abbott’s youngest announced the shock news, writing: “Two weeks was all it took to know that forever with you was a mighty fine idea.”

Speaking to Newscorp, Frances said her friends and family were obviously shocked at the speed of the engagement.

“My family just want what’s best for me, as any family would with their daughter,” she said. “They are cautious because of the time, but they know me.”

Mr Abbott, though, was quick to publicly congratulate his daughter on her surprise engagement.

“Really thrilled at the news of Francie and Sam’s engagement,” he tweeted. “We are very proud of her and the Abbotts are looking forward to welcoming Sam into the family.”

Sam is an Olympian rower turned weightlifter who has competed in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
