7 former Playboy models recreated their iconic covers decades later, prove beauty is timeless

Can barely tell which is which.
Playboy models re-create iconic covers

When they graced the cover of Playboy decades ago these models would never have thought they’d be re-posing for one of the most iconic men’s magazines decades later. However that is exactly what happened to seven former playmates, who received an invite to come back to Playboy HQ and recreate their iconic cover images.

Why? To prove that “beauty is ageless, sex appeal is timeless and exuberance is eternal,” the publication stated on its website. Safe to say that goal was achieved.

The special invitees included…

Kimberley Conrad Hefner

Hugh Hefner‘s ex-wife Kimberly, 54, was Playmate of the Year for 1989 and January Playmate in 1988. She married Hugh in 1989 and they had two sons together, Cooper and Marston, before divorcing in 2010. On asking his mother to be part of the project, son Cooper (who is Chief Creative Officer of Playboy) told The Chicago Tribune: “It was kind of a hard question to ask my mum but I did it. And I think she was flattered and proud. She immediately said, ‘Absolutely.'”

Charlotte Kemp

The 56-year-old was the December Playmate for 1982.

Cathy St.George

The 62-year-old was the August Playmate in 1982.

Monique St. Pierre

Monique, 63, was Playmate of the Year for 1979 and November Playmate in 1978.

Renee Tenison

Now 48, Renee was Playmate of the Year in 1990 and November Playmate in 1989. On being asked to returned she told the publication: “We are a very exclusive sisterhood, a sorority. And most of us, I’d have to say, look pretty great. We work at it. We are just a little older now.”

Candace Collins

On being chosen for the project the now 60-year-old, who was the December Playmate in 1979, told Chicago Now: “Well, you could’ve knocked me over with a bunny tail! I was thrilled and then terrified and then determined – determined to make this shoot something I would be proud of and also, in a way, let the world know that women of a certain age still have a lot of fight and spirit left in them long after their 20s disappear.”

Lisa Matthews

Now 47, Lisa was Playmate of the Year in 1991 and the April Playmate in 1990.

Incredible, ladies! Round of applause.
