Inside Baz Luhrmann’s $16 million Sydney mansion

Nine bedrooms, a heated pool and an underground temperature-controlled wine cellar. Need we say more?

Aussie director and writer, Baz Luhrmann, has sold his nine bedroom, seven bathroom, 1880s Sydney mansion for $16 million.

And, from the looks of it, the house that’s hosted movie stars, singers, producers and directors is well worth the pricetag.

It boasts nine bedrooms, 0.7 acres, a heated pool and attached spa, two self-contained guest apartments, a separate catering kitchen, gas fireplaces, an underground temperature-controlled wine cellar, a sunroom, a gym, a conservatory, a film-room, and – of course – a trophy room.

Putting it on Domain last year, the director, his wife, Catherine Martin, and their two children, Lillian and William, chose to sell the estate they’ve been in since 1997 in favour of ‘downsizing’ to a smaller, more manageable home.

And, no, the Golden Globes don’t come with it.

We checked.
