This Christmas Gin uses real Christmas Pudding to create its unique flavour.

Nothing says the festive season quite like the Australian Women’s Weekly Christmas pudding – dense, moist and loaded with delicious dried fruit.

Every year since 1968, Wilma would make the AWW Christmas pudding on Derby Day.

Though Wilma has sadly passed on, her whole family loved the puddings, so much that when her son Cam, co-founder of Four Pillars gin distillery, was looking for a Christmas inspired gin idea- there was really only one solution.

Yep, that’s right.

Four Pillars Christmas gin (AKA the very essence of Christmas, in a cup) was inspired by the AWW Christmas Pud we all grew up with.

Cam and his family followed the exact same recipe to make the puddings which went on to be used in the Australian Christmas Gin.

To make the gin, the Christmas puddings were put in the botanical basket of the still (named Wilma, after Cam’s mum) and distilled with a base of juniper, cinnamon, star anise, coriander and angelica over the top.

The Christmas Gin was then mixed with gin aged in 100+ year old Muscat barrels, and this year was finished with a small amount of Four Pillars own Muscat.

Can you imagine anything more Christmasy?

It smells like gin and tastes like Christmas and is made even more special by its label. This year the label has been created by Australian artist, Darren Song and features the quintessentially Australian Christmas Beetle.

The gin is available now and is the perfect way to bring some holiday SPIRIT into your life.
