Much like returning to dance floors or strolling into a restaurant without booking ahead, or hell, even giving our loved ones a big ‘ol squeeze – the glitzy world of Hollywood red carpets has also returned after a year of couch couture and Zoom acceptance speeches.

Leading the charge is the golden child of Awards Season – The Oscars.

The event is taking place at Union Station in Los Angeles as well as its former and iconic location The Dolby Theatre. And the celebrities behind the movie masterpieces which have kept us entertained from our couches over the past 12 months have glammed up for the occasion as they walk the red carpet.

Of course, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the red carpet this year isn’t any ordinary event – as explained by one of the event’s three producers Stacey Sher.

According to Stacey, expect a “teeny tiny red carpet… It’s a very small footprint for safety reasons, obviously.”

The ceremony itself is to be live streamed across more than 200 territories internationally – so even the celebrities who were unable to make the flight across to LA will tune in from their own homes.

Up for the top gongs this year include the likes of Viola Davis, Carey Mulligan and Frances McDormand for their roles in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Promising Young Women and Nomadland, respectively.

Of course, the guest list expands well beyond that – and we’ve got all the best looks from the red carpet in one place right here.
