We were not ready to say goodbye to the Gilmores, Sookie or Luke when the hit show called it time in 2007 after seven seasons, but all of our prayers may have be answered after one of the cast members revealed a reunion might be in the works!
Scott Patterson played love-interest and diner owner Luke Danes, and he opened up during a Gilmore Girls podcast called Gilmore Guys:“I will say this, there are talks going on at the moment. I can’t really go into any details, but there is some activity.”
He added: “I’m hopeful, and I’m in. I think it would be a big event, and I think it would be a great fan celebration.”
The show, which was known for its epically fast dialogue, launched the careers of funny woman Melissa McCarthy, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel.
It famously followed the relationship between young mother Lorelai and her intelligent daughter Rory as they face the struggles of family, school and careers in the idyllic small town Stars Hallow.
We can barely contain our excitement and although Scott only gave a small hint – if they lead, we will follow!
