Sofia Vergara and Bart Simpson

According to E! News, the 43-year-old starlet will play Bart’s teacher Mrs Berrera.

In a very racy twist, the 10-year-old student quickly develops a serious crush for his new authority figure.

And if you’re worried that the spikey-haired lad is rather young to be having feelings for Mrs Berrera, it turns out in an earlier episode called Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles Bart chugs down a questionable drink that propels him into early puberty, which sees him growing a moustache and crushing hard on Sofia’s character.

The plot is set to get even juicier after EW reported Principal Skinner also falls hard for his intriguing new colleague. Hello strange and unlikely love triangle.

At the moment it’s believed the Colombian-American actress will only star in one episode, but knowing how popular the Hot Pursuit actress is, anything is possible!

Sofia rose to fame playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in Modern Family

Simpsons executive producer Al Jean told EW of the new character, “She’s more forgiving than Mrs. Krabappel was of Bart. She pays special attention to him.”

Sofia’s cameo comes after the talented actress behind Bart’s long-standing teacher Mrs. Krabappel, played by Marcia Wallace passed away in 2013.
