Richie has certainly come a long way from the timid yet charming contestant then nation fell in love with on last year’s Bachelorette.

The WA local has shed his shyness and can command a room with ease – perhaps the end result of finding his one true love?

Landing in third place in the race for Sam Frost’s heart clearly hasn’t deterred the handsome rope technician, who speaks with immense enthusiasm about his experience as the nation’s fourth Bachelor.

“It is going to be O-M-G exciting! I’d like to throw out the word brilliant,” a beaming Richie tells us of tonight’s upcoming episode.

So what exactly can we expect? “Drama, drama, drama. There’s going to be roses, petals, people walking, a cocktail party with no music. It’s going to be exciting,” the 30-year-old promises.

Richie promises this season of The Bachelor will be full of drama!

As for whether there’ll any pashes during the first cocktail party, Richie jokes that he’s already locked lips with all 22 hopefuls.

“I think out of the 22 women, I’ve kissed 30 of them. Tune in to try and work out that math,” he cheekily quips.

When it comes to his dream girl, there’s three qualities the reality star is looking for.

“The biggest one is to love me for me. I’m quite high octane and a pain in the bum so if she can put up with me she’s a winner.”

“Someone that has a really beautiful personality… it’s really difficult to find. And someone who has a very beautiful smile,” Richie says.

Describing it as one of the juiciest seasons yet, down-to-earth Richie has still managed to keep his focus on finding that lucky lady, revealing the most valuable lesson he’s learnt from the whole experience is, “to always communicate well with your partner.”

The Bachelor Australia premieres tonight on Channel Ten at 7:30!
