Mel B is no longer part of the 2DayFM morning breakfast show.
After just six months on air, Mel B has left the struggling Breakfast with the Stars show.
“We can confirm that Mel B will not be continuing with the breakfast show for the remainder of the year,” Southern Cross Austereo’s General Manager Jeremy Simpson said.
“Her contract was for an initial six-month period.
“Mel remains a good friend of the show and we look forward to having her back as a guest in the near future.”
The team now includes Sophie Monk, Merrick Watts and Jules Lund.
Mel also confirmed her departure from the show, following months of rumours that she was planning to leave.
“I have loved my time in Australia being on The Voice Kids and part of the breakfast team for the past six months,” Mel B told Confidential.
“I can confirm I won’t be continuing for the remainder of the year.”
Mel was recruited as part of the new breakfast team at the beginning of the year after Kyle and Jackie O moved to rival station KIIS FM.
