Block baby bonanza

There has been a Block baby boom! Your favourite Blockheads, Brad and Lara became parents just last month, Polly and Waz are set to give birth any day now plus Shannon and Lisa welcomed their darling bub last December!

Winners of The Block 2012, Brad and Lara Cranfield are already thinking about a little brother or sister for their son just three weeks after his birth. The new parents are completely smitten with Harry Cranfield, born on February 9 this year.

“As soon as he came out there was that rush of love,” new mum, Lara, told Woman’s Day. “When I kissed him I had that instant connection. He was so adorable. He’s pretty perfect, really. I could do it all again tomorrow. Brad wants three boys but I’d love a little girl.”

Meanwhile funnyman, Brad, chuckled, “Yes, he has got my forehead, poor little bugger!”

Polly Porter and Warwick “Waz” Jones, who took out season four, are about experience something greater than winning – becoming parents! The charming duo couldn’t be more excited to meet their “cheeky little baby”, and Polly reckons a clairvoyant told her the sex of her baby just weeks after she’d fallen pregnant – apparently it’s a girl!

“A couple of days after I took  a pregnancy test  I had a massage, and the masseuse also happened to be a clairvoyant,” the 29-year-old said. “I denied it, but she continued to tell me all she could see was baby things… and asked me why that might be. I finally told her  I was pregnant, and she told me  that it was a girl.”

Despite the prediction, the couple have decided to wait  for the “ultimate surprise” – and they think their baby is a boy!

One half of the 2014 winners, Shannon Vos and his Mrs, Lisa, welcome their little boy to the world, last December. The painter says he’s in awe of all new mums after he helped deliver his son Dusty in a “beautiful birth”, which only made him respect his wife Lisa even more than on their wedding day.

“I put the gloves on in the delivery room and I pulled him out. As overwhelming as seeing that is – and it’s not pretty! – it is a beautiful experience and I absolutely loved it. It was insane,”  a still awe-struck Shannon explained.

Introducing the Block Babies

Winners of The Block 2012, Brad and Lara Cranfield are completely smitten with son Harry, who was born on February 9 this year. In fact, they are already thinking about bub number two.

Little Harry has a wisp of soft dark hair, clear blue eyes and Brad’s “old man forehead” – wrinkling up when he finds something of interest. “Yes, he has got my forehead, poor little bugger!” the new dad laughed.

Taking parenthood into their stride, Brad’s wife can’t help but be impressed by how well the ex-footy player has taken to being a dad. “He’s a great dad and always has his cuddles in the morning, and I don’t think you can give them enough cuddles!”

Polly and Waz Jones couldn’t be more excited to meet their “cheeky little baby” any day now.

The pair, who took out Season 4, are keeping their baby sex a surprise… But Polly reckons a clairvoyant told her the sex of her baby just weeks after she’d fallen pregnant – and it’s a girl!

Either way, the couple’s home looks perfect as they await for little bundle of joy.

“Our baby kicks and wriggles and is doing all of the things babies are meant to do,” says kindergarten teacher Polly, who adds that her students love touching her bump and talking  to the baby in class.

The lucky boy has a stunning nursery, while new mum Lisa is loving motherhood, “I’ve found a side of me I didn’t know  I had. It’s such a nice feeling knowing someone is so reliant on you – to provide life to someone is really special. I also feel very lucky to have a husband who does the stuff Shannon is willing to do.”
