Just over a month after giving birth to her son Saint West, Kim Kardashian West is ready to lose her baby weight – but not without a helping hand.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashian‘s star has signed on as brand ambassador for the Atkins 40 diet, with a total weight loss goal of 31 kilos.

Not one to waste time, Kim has already managed to lose an impressive 13 kilos in a matter of weeks.

The fad diet scene is nothing new to the reality star, previously turning to the Atkins diet after the birth of her daughter North in 2013.

Kim gained 27 kilos while pregnant with Saint, who was born on December 5 last year, reaching almost 90 kilos by the end of her pregnancy.

Being the social media queen that she is, it’s no surprise Kim announced her Atkins weight loss endeavour via Twitter this morning.

“Teaming up w/ @AtkinsInsider because it works for me! So much variety on #Atkins40 and Harvest Trail Bars = YUM,” the 35-year-old penned.

Before adding: “I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy but have been an extra 10 lbs up for the last few years so it’s time to really get to my goal.”

All but one of the West family.

The low-carb Atkins diet is known for encouraging its users to eat from each food group, eluding any deprivation of comfort foods, like pasta and potatoes (our favourite!).

While popular in the ’90s, the diet has since been criticized by health experts with some even going so far as to link it to heart disease and strokes.

But Kimmy won’t be deterred! “As much as I really hate the whole feeling of being pregnant, I enjoy the challenge of getting my body back after it’s all over,” she said. “I feel so accomplished when I’m back to where I want to be,” she has said.
