On Tuesday, November 22, Today presenter, Karl Stefanovic, casually revealed something he’s been quietly working on – slimming down!

The 42-year-old, who co-hosts Nine’s breakfast show with Lisa Wilkinson, 56, made the surprising admission during one of the show’s segments, which happened to be all about Lisa’s husband Peter Fitzsimons’ new book, The Great Aussie Bloke Slim-Down.

Describing how he wrote the book about his 40kg weightloss, rugby-star-turned-journalist, Peter, 55, opened up about how to approach this conversation with men rather than women.

“Blokes speaking to blokes, I think I can say, ‘Karl, you have pudding-ed up – what’s going on?’” He said.

Sister-in-law-to-be Sylvia Jeffreys was quick to interject, stating, “He hasn’t, though – he’s lost weight.”

Ever the joker, Karl then laughed, adding, “Geez, I must’ve been really big!”
