It’s not the first thing you’d expect to find in your salad bowl, but, much to one Melbourne’s woman surprise, a living, breathing, jumping-around frog was found springing inside her store-bought Coles salad bowl.

Sounds, err, delicious…

Taking to Facebook to ask the supermarket giant why this had happened, as well as post a video of the frog hopping inside the plastic container, Ms Latinaa demanded answers.

“As I was washing my lettuce earlier for dinner, I noticed at the bottom of my strainer there was a frog,” she began.

“I was a little shocked concerned that the frog was dead. To my surprise the frog was alive…”

“I expect an explanation as to how this has happened and how you plan to remedy this so it doesn’t happen again.”

Coles responded to Ms Latinaa, stating they were “concerned” to see this and would like to investigate the matter further.

But Ms Latinaa certainly had the last word.

“I’m happy to be able to have rescued the frog but am still pretty disgusted at what’s just happened.”
