Yesterday at 4:30 pm, well-known baby food brand, Rafferty’s Garden issued a product recall on their Rafferty’s Garden Organic Baby Rice Cereal 80g with best before date of the 17 May 2019 due to safety concerns.

The Baby Rice Cereal has been available for purchase in Coles, Big W and some pharmacies around Australia and New Zealand.

If you are concerned you can visit www.foodstandards.gov.au/recalls for more information.

According to the Rafferty’s Garden Facebook page, the product recall has been put in place following a labelling error.

“Unfortunately, Rafferty’s Garden Organic Banana Porridge was incorrectly packed into Rafferty’s Garden Organic Baby Rice Cereal packaging,” the company says in on their Facebook page.

“Food safety and the safety of our consumers is our highest priority. Although we are confident in our rigorous quality systems and the risk of reaction is low we recognise that to some of our little foodies, accidental consumption of oat gluten or banana could cause a reaction if the product is consumed. As such as a precaution we have initiated a recall of the affected batch.”

If you have a Rafferty’s Garden Organic Baby Rice Cereal 80g with a date code 17 May 2019, you can return it to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.

For further information, the company advises you to call their Consumer Services on 1800-190-661 or email us [email protected]
