Couple lose weight together after being told they were ‘too fat to have kids’

Together, after joint gastric bypass surgeries and a commitment to cut out on greasy foods, the couple lost nearly 250 kilograms combined.

Justine and Chris Delamare, both 43, were heartbroken when they were told they were too overweight to conceive children. But they used the doctor’s diagnosis to motivate them.

Together, after joint gastric bypass surgeries and a commitment to cut out on greasy foods, the couple lost nearly 250 kilograms combined.

Today they are parents to Oscar, 2, and Jasmine, 10 months– something they thought would always be an impossible dream.

“I was devastated when we were told we were too big to get pregnant,” Justine told The Sun.

“I didn’t think it would happen and we pushed the idea to the back of our minds.

“Now, I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved. I wake up every day and feel blessed.”

They’re not the only couple who have stacked on the weight together. One study showed that if your partner is overweight you are 37 per cent more likely to be also.

Being obese will not only affect your overall lifestyle, but your chances of heart attack, stroke, some cancers and other health risks are increased with every extra kilo you carry.
