NSW servo bans sweaty cash that’s been near “boobs, socks and jocks”

Because, #Straya.
Sweaty money banned from NSW petrol station

Last Saturday’s scorching temperatures saw an onslaught of so-sweaty clothing make a splash at the bottom of washing baskets across the state.

Not only that, but apparently the 40-degree-plus day has also left owners of a Kempsey petrol station with a till full of sticky, sweat-soaked money that they’d prefer to, well, see the backend of.

So much so that, fed up with dealing with handfuls of clammy coin, staff at the New South Wales petrol service station, are refusing to accept money that’s been kept down shirts, as well as in pants and socks.

“Due to hot and humid weather, we are no longer accepting ‘boob, jock or sock’ money,” the hilarious but honest sign read.

“Questionable moist notes and coins will also be declined.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience, but actually it’s quite gross.”

As reported by 7 News, this isn’t the first time wet wads of cash have been barred from Aussie establishments.

In February 2015, Fascine Coffee Lounge owner Robin Weeks banned people from paying for food with money that had been down their tops and in their mouths.

“A couple of people pulled out money from their undies, other people from their bras,” he explained at the time.

“We have had people that have searched for things in their pockets and just put their money back in their mouth until they’ve found it.”
