John Stamos and wife Caitlin McHugh have welcomed their first child together — a baby boy named Billy!
Taking to Instagram in the early hours of Monday morning, the Full House actor shared a black-and-white snap of the newborn nestled peacefully on his chest.
“From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father),” the 54-year-old captioned a photo, adding the hash-tags: “#NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed”
As John said, Billy’s name comes from his late grandfather, Bill Stamos, who John was very close to before his death in 2001.
He has previously shared images from his childhood featuring his beloved dad. Earlier this year, he shared a picture of his dad looking at him as a newborn, adding, “Can’t wait to look at my baby like this.”

Last December, John and Caitlin (who tied the knot in February) announced their happy baby news.
“We have the same morals and the same values, that all clicked nicely,” he told People Magazine. “So we said, ‘Oh, well, maybe we should have a family.'”
“[Caitlin said,] ‘Maybe we should have a kid [before we get married],’ and I said, ‘Why?'” he continued. “[Caitlin responded,] ‘Because you’re old.'”
Caitlin, 32, went on to describe the look on her partner’s face upon learning of their beautiful baby news.
“The look on John’s face when I told him we were pregnant was priceless,” she told the outlet. “It was the look of a man who has wanted a family of his own but wasn’t sure it was going to happen for him. Now it is!”
The Scream Queens star admitted that he long felt as though something were missing from his life.
“I always wanted to be a dad. Clearly I had to do some work on myself, first,” he told the publication. “I have a youthful thing. People say, ‘Oh, you look young. You’ll start believing you’re gonna live to be 150.’ And then you wake up and go, ‘No, man, this is it. This is not a rehearsal.”‘
John and Caitlin announced their pregnancy late last year. The loved-up couple then tied the knot in February.
Caitlin, an actress, has appeared on The Vampire Diaries, NCIS: Los Angeles and also starred in the short film, Ingenue-ish, which she co-wrote with John last year.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight last year, she opened up about their relationship.
“We like to keep our lives private because we’ve seen what relationships in the public eye can be like and we just like our privacy,” she said. “We don’t want the commentary from the masses about what our relationship is or should be.”
She added: “We’re very happy together and we hope to be so for a long time.”
