The 50-year-old looked flawless on the yellow Minion-themed red carpet for the world premiere of the Minions movie in London on Thursday.
Sandra hasn’t walked the red carpet in over a year, but the mum-of-one couldn’t have looked better, donning a sleeveless, paisley-print cocktail dress with a cheeky slit that revealed a second layer of sheer black material. The racy element showcased Sandy’s toned pins while she added height to her frame with strappy black stilettos.
Louis’ mama accessorised her look with a chic black diamond Jack Vartanian bracelet and flowing, sleek brunette tresses. She finished off her killer ensemble with smoky eyes and natural make up.
Sandra may be an on-screen villain in the new Universal film, but she was the premiere’s leading lady!
The Hollywood sweetheart was all smiles as she cosied with the minions and chatting to fans.
“There’s something about London that gets everyone in a good mood. Everyone’s skipping down the carpet rather than sauntering,” Sandra told reporters.
In the prequel from the Despicable Me family, Sandra voices the character of Scarlet Overkill, a stylish super-villain who recruits three Minions-Stuart, Kevin, and Bob to help her carry out a plot to take over the world.
The actress revealed that she shares more in common with her evil on-screen counterpart than we think!
“She’s more like me than anything else I’ve been in. She’s evil, she’s crabby and a little bit bitchy – all the traits that I think make for a good villainess,” she laughed.
But at the end of the day, you can expect a fun family film, which was Sandra’s inspiration for taking the role.
“I wanted to make something my son could see and watch and enjoy, even though he doesn’t know what I do and he doesn’t know it’s me – I can sit in the theatre and watch him,” she revealed.
“Nothing makes me happier than hearing that boy laugh, (by) physical humour and animation so hopefully I’ll be able to do that.”
Minions hit cinemas on Thursday June 18.
