Cape dresses soar in style

Screen heroines, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laura Linney and Cara Buono channeled superhero style in stunning cape dresses. The cape dress is a classic and flattering look on the red carpet as soft fabric cascades elegantly from the garment.

Black-ish hero Tracee Ellis Ross stunned in a white gown feature an asymmetrical cascading cape.

Ozark‘s Laura Linney looks regal in a soft pink cape gown.

Mad Men actress Cara Buono’s intricate floral cape is sheer perfection.

Glitter gets the green light

Our favourite screen stars went a little mad with the glitter gun for the 2018 SAG Awards. Dresses crafted from lengths of sequined fabric shimmered down the red carpet with big name celebs like Nicole Kidman and Alison Janney favouring long-sleeve styles.

Nicole Kidman’s chocolate hued, glittering gown divided opinion on social media.

Stylish as ever, Susan Sarandon opted for a classic silhouette embellished by shimmering fabric. Oh, and her signature accessory, shades (possibly for the glitter glare?).

Talk about drama! Danielle Brooks shuts down the red carpet with the ombre black and red gown.

Spin City‘s Connie Britton’s wrap dress was fashioned from dusty pink sequins.

Allison Janney went futuristic-chic in this glittering gun-metal, gown.

Natural beauty is best

Starlets of the screen embraced their natural beauty with pared-back hair and make-up looks. Neutral eye shadow complemented a nude lip, while fake tan was given the flick in favour of natural skin tones. This look is classic!

It was all about glowing skin for Saoirse Ronan, who appeared to wear no eye make-up at all.

A simple parted-bun was all Kristen Bell’s soft, rose-hued make-up needed.

Aussie beauty Margot Robbie needs little more than some mascara, a rosy cheek and a peachy lip. Stunning!

After shaving her head for a role, Kate Hudson’s hair has grown back into the sweetest pixie cut.

Reese Witherspoon’s copper eye shadow gave her blue eyes just what they needed to really pop. A soft pink lip made sure her eyes remained the hero.
