Setting the style precedent this year was Queen of chic herself Duchess Catherine, who looked stunning in a white off-the-shoulder gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen – and her husband Prince William scrubbed up pretty well too!

The awards, presented annually in London and held at the Royal Albert Hall, honour the best British and international contributions to film.

This is the ceremony’s 72nd year, with comedic host Joanna Lumley taking centre stage – a two-time BAFTA TV Award winner herself, she’s no stranger to the prestigious event!

While 2019 awards season favourite Lady Gaga wasn’t in attendance due to the Grammys also taking place at the same time, the evening was dripping with star power, and oozing class along the way.

From Aussie darling Margot Robbie and The Crown glamour Claire Foy to the ever classy Rachel Weisz and Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper – the red carpet was a sight to behold.
