An unsung fashion hero.

Zara Tindall is known for a lot of things – an accomplished equestrian, prominent royal family member and mum to three adorable children.

But what doesn’t necessarily jump to one’s mind when Zara Tindall crops up in casual conversation is the fact that she’s a low-key fashion icon.

Of course, you can’t really be surprised considering her cousin in-law is none other than Princess Catherine, who often takes centre stage when it comes to royals dictating the next seasonal trends.

That’s why it’s all the more glorious when Zara does get a minute to shine in the fashion stakes.

The 41-year-old has certainly paved her own path despite being born into a family dictated by protocol, with her life constantly under a magnifying glass.

Yes, much like her mother Princess Anne, Zara is her own force to be reckoned with when it comes to pushing the boundaries – in all aspects of the phrase.

From becoming an Olympian, to marrying star rugby player Mike Tindall, Zara is not shy of doing her own thing.

And it looks like the trait goes right back to her fashion sense.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Zara’s stylist Laura Green elaborated on her client’s no-nonsense approach.

“There really is something very special about Zara, which sets her apart – she’s a natural beauty,” Green commented. “She’s very confident in her style.”

We can’t say we’re surprised – going by some of the royal’s key looks in years gone by, it’s easy to see that she’s never been afraid to go bold, brave and, frankly speaking, pave her own fashion-forward path.

So with that, we decided to celebrate her style journey in pictures. Keep scrolling as we look back at this royally rouge bandit’s array of looks – from the stand-out statements to the quiet wins.
