Well, summer is well and truly over. And that means, as the old saying goes, that winter is officially coming.
Before we know it, the mornings are going to become super chilly, it's going to get dark at 5pm, and we'll all be Googling manically trying to get our hands on a cosy winter coat that will keep us warm, but also won't break the bank.
And if you're looking for a bit of celebrity inspiration to help you decide what kind of coat you want to wear this winter, look no further than the chic neutral-coloured style worn by royal fashion icons Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle recently.
These stylish royals are currently in the middle of winter in the northern hemisphere, so they ensured they were wrapped up and protected against the elements when out and about earlier this year.
Interestingly, both women shunned the traditional black jacket and instead wore camel coats by Spanish brand Massimo Dutti.
Camel is proving to be a major colour trend in winter 2020. Chic neutral coats cropping up everywhere this season, with high end luxury fashion label Max Mara selling dozens of cosy camel coats in its latest range, as well as our favourite accessible brands like Marks and Spencer, who have created an amazing affordable trench coat (more on that very soon).
As for the specific styles favoured by the stylish royal ladies, while Meghan and Kate looked incredibly chic, sadly Massimo Dutti's coats are well outside our price range.
So we've gone on the hunt for some affordable dupes that are still super stylish and cosy, but won't break the bank.
