The most offensive ad for plus size clothes ever

This is just rude.

Shopping site, wish.com, recently advertised some plus size, leather look shorts at the super low price of $9. But what was really super low about the whole thing was how they were modelled.

Instead of finding a model that actually fit the shorts properly, or shooting the product flat-lay, the images show a thin model standing with both legs inside one side of the shorts, as if they are a skirt.

The brand of the pants isn’t actually listed on the site – probably just mass imported from Asia, which is what would make them so cheap – but apparently this isn’t the first time this tactic has been used by the image supplier, Herry He’s.

While the images themselves may not violate any rules of the site, they are just plain rude and insensitive, which begs the question, where do these mass online stores draw the line when it comes to human compassion and common decency? It’s all just a bit of a mockery, really.

It’s a pretty standard practice for websites like this to approve their imagery before it goes live, so we have to ask the question, WHAT ON EARTH WERE THEY THINKING?! They might not be able to control how everyone shoots their product, but they can certainly make the last call before those pictures hit the web via their platform.
