The royal newlywed is clearly feeling sentimental.

When Princess Eugenie married her long-time partner Jack Brooksbank in a beautiful ceremony at St George’s Chapel, it seemed no truer a fairy tale could exist.

And that’s why when the red-headed royal chooses to wear certain items of clothing nowadays, we can’t blame her getting a little sentimental.

Stepping out at the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, Eugenie caught our attention immediately wearing a stunning light blue and blush coloured dress with silver detailing.

As she shook hands and congratulated award recipients alongside her aunt and uncle, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, the newlywed couldn’t have looked more at ease – and it was likely aided by her very fitting choice in dress.

Eugenie’s beautiful frock was designed by none other than her wedding dress designer Peter Pilotto – a sweet nod and connection to her special day in October 2018.

Wearing her hair in loose waves and adorning her wrist with a simple bracelet, it would be fair to say Eugenie epitomised Princess perfection!

Taking to her Instagram account later in the day, Eugenie shared a series of snaps from the event.

“Honoured to join my Uncle and Aunt, The Earl and Countess of Wessex today at Buckingham Palace to hand out @dofeuk Gold Awards,” she wrote.

“It was fantastic to meet all the young men and women who have achieved so much.”

Buckingham Palace also shared details from the exciting day on social media, taking to Twitter to share details.

But in an unexpected blunder, the Royal Family account made one glaring mistake that they quickly revoked!

Writing about the event to their page, a caption read: “Princess Eugene speaks to a group of young people about how they achieved their Gold Award”.

Awkward! Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the misspelling of Eugenie’s name, as were the moderators behind the account, who quickly deleted and reposted the tweet with the correct spelling.

Whoops! Princess Eugenie’s name had a minor spelling error!

Small blunder aside, we’re sure Princess Eugenie wouldn’t have minded the error.

The raven-haired royal often takes to her Instagram page to share candid snaps from her colourful life.

On her new husband Jack’s birthday, the Princess shared a sweet candid snap of herself and her husband laughing and smiling into the camera.

She accompanied the sweet picture with the caption: “Happy Birthday to you, my one and only Jack. You are one of a kind and totally extraordinary. Nine birthdays and counting…to quote you from a few months ago “you light up my life””

Too cute!

So sweet! Princess Eugenie’s adorable post for her husband generated more than 160,000 likes.
