Duchess Meghan is known to be fiercely passionate about women’s rights, so it’s only natural that royal fans got to see Meghan in her absolute element on International Women’s Day.

What’s even better is seeing her combine this passion with something else she’s famous for – her fashion.

On March 8, Meghan’s involvement in the empowering day was revealed for all to see, and let’s just say, it was fashionably epic.

As the Duchess and her husband Prince Harry return to the UK to round out their final engagements as senior members of the royal family, we’ve been treated to a series of glorious style spectacles.

On Thursday, March 5, we saw Meghan wear a figure-hugging blue Victoria Beckham gown to the Endeavour Fund Awards, and on Saturday we witnessed another golden fashion win when she wore a bright red Safiyaa gown to the Mountbatten Music Festival.

In between the two evening appearances, Meghan has been keeping busy by attending several private engagements.

And that’s where International Women’s Day comes in.

On Friday, March 6, Meghan visited East London’s Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham, where she hosted a special assembly that showcased the importance of female empowerment.

While the event itself was incredibly uplifting and inspirational, there was a big thing we couldn’t help but revel in – Meghan’s outfit.

Wearing a stunning cream tweed blazer by ME+EM, a pair of chic cropped black pants and some dreamy Jennifer Chamandi Lorenzo two-toned pumps, the Duchess was looking as stylish as ever.

Of course, the ensemble was glorious in its own right, but on closer inspection, you might notice that there’s another theme that only makes us love Meghan and everything she stands for more – her get-up was entirely created by females.

Ever the women’s rights advocate, Meghan incorporated a sweet nod to Intentional Women’s Day in her outfit.

Not only that, but each of the female designers she chose to wear are hugely inspirational in their own ways.

The founder of Jennifer Chamandi Lorenzo is of South Korean descent, and has a strong focus on affordability and sustainability.

Meanwhile, ME+EM has a solid ethos in providing luxury quality, while keeping prices affordable.

Creating some seriously stunning garments to boot, we don’t really need any more convincing to hop aboard this band wagon – with Meghan leading the way!

The Duchess spoke candidly about empowering women.

The assembly included many candid moments from the impassioned Duchess.

During the engagement, Meghan spoke to more than 700 students about some of the biggest issues affecting women today.

“Specifically coming to your school made a lot of sense for me because of this social justice and the impact that it’s rooted in,” she told the students.

“No matter how small you might feel, how low you may feel on the ladder or the totem pole, no matter what colour you are, no matter what gender you are, you have a voice, and you certainly have the right to speak up for what is right.”

Meghan also completed a short tour of the school during the event.

This included a quick visit to the library, where Meghan spoke to students there to research famous female writers and poets.

Last year, Meghan was also out in force for International Women’s Day, attending an empowering panel where she spoke candidly about how everyone can make a positive difference when it comes to equal rights.

“If things are wrong and there is a lack of justice and an inequality, someone needs to say something – and why can’t it be you?” she told the crowd at the time.

We hope to see plenty more from women’s rights champion Meghan – even after she’s formally stepped back.
