Trends from the train: As a difficult year comes to an end, Duchess Catherine surprises us all with one final fashion spectacle
The Duchess of Cambridge is ending the year with one very stylish bang.
As the train pulled up for the first stop on day one, Kate was the image of chic in this recycled Catherine Walker coat, accessorised with black leather boots, gloves and a wallet by royal favourite and Edinburgh-based Strathberry.

(Getty)For their third engagement on day one, the royals travelled to West Yorkshire, where they visited a local community centre. On their journey there, Kate made a quick outfit change. She wore a beautiful navy blue coat by Hobbs with a white jumper and wide-legged trousers.

(Getty)The Duchess got extra cosy with some marshmellow roasting, but not before we got to enjoy our favourite part of her entire outfit for the event.
(Getty)Yep - a matching tartan face mask! She pulled out all the stops for this one, clearly!
(Getty)The royals wrapped up their tour on Tuesday evening by ending up at Windsor Castle, where they met The Queen, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla and more members of the royal family. Kate made a quick change into her gorgeous Catherine Walker coat - another recycled gem.
