At this stage, Julie Bishop may as well just take up the helm as the Kate Middleton of Australia – in the fashion sense, that is.

The former Foreign Minister is a trend setter in her own right, with a fanbase of thousands who’ll take inspo from the 64-year-old’s glamorous outfits… if they dare.

Her latest outfit? Only the most apt, perfect, glimmery design she’s worn to date.

Sharing an update to Instagram on Thursday, Julie posted a photo of her girl gang attending the opening night of Legally Blonde: The Musical.

“Girls in Pink 💖,” she wrote, adding the hashtag “#girlsjustwannahavefun.”

At the centre of the image stands Julie Bishop, wearing the brightest, most glamorous pink dress we’ve seen her in to date – which is saying something.

Unsurprisingly, her fans flooded the picture with comments in full support of the bright and bold outfit.

“Love the dress Julie absolutely smashing,” one wrote.

Another added: “OMG!!🎀💕💅🏻💒🎆💗🛍👄🧞‍♀️👚👙🦩🌸🌺,” with a series of pink themed emojis.

Of course, this certainly isn’t the first time Bishop has rocked pink.

In November last year, she wore a stunning bright pink minidress to Pridefest.

And with a glitzy flourish, she completed the look with some golden glittery heels.

And in October 2020, the politician wowed us again with a stunning fuchsia pink ball dress, taken as part of a photoshoot to mark Frocktober.

The initiative invites people to frock up in their best to raise money for ovarian cancer research.

And so, with yet another stunning pink dress to add to the mix – one of her brightest yet, might we add – the 64-year-old is truly a fashion force to be reckoned with on our shores.

Legally pink, more like.
